    Sales Manager (Higher Education)

    Full-timeRemote · Arnhem / London

    The role

Your primary focus is higher education — universities of applied sciences, research universities, and international education organizations, but you go where the opportunities are.

Assessment agencies, vocational institutions, and any place where adaptive practicing and better testing tools matter: they're in your scope. This role encompasses the whole trajectory from first contact to full implementation.

    What you'll do

    • Approach higher education institutions. Give compelling presentations and product demos, online or in person when necessary.
    • Manage the full sales cycle from first lead to implementation. Respond to and apply on tenders when applicable. Build lasting relationships with educators and institutional decision-makers.
    • Collaborate with our partners on joint opportunities. Work with marketing on international outreach and campaigns. Provide a continuous feedback loop to product development and share what you hear in the field, suggest features, report bugs.
    • You actively use and test Examplary, and think alongside the rest of the team about the roadmap, its features and what works as well as doesn't work. We're a product-focused organization, and that's reflected in every role.

Most importantly: help build a scalable (international) sales operation from the ground up.

    What a day looks like

    • Morning: team sync, then a video call with a university of applied sciences in Germany exploring Examplary for their exam workflow.
    • Mid-morning: preparing a proposal for a university of applied sciences.
    • After lunch: demoing the platform to an international assessment organization. Later: brainstorming with marketing about a webinar series for higher education.
    • End of day: testing a new feature and adding feedback to the product board.

No two days are alike, and you're free to plan your work as it suits you.

    What we offer

    • Real freedom in how, when, and where you work. We care about our culture and your wellbeing, while being result-driven.
    • A market-competitive salary.
    • Five weeks of paid vacation, and more when you need it.
    • A remote-first culture with access to our offices in Arnhem and London.
    • A small, close-knit team where your work has direct, visible impact.

With this position, you get the chance to shape a fast-growing product that genuinely empowers teachers, and grow your role alongside it.

    What we're looking for

    • Proven sales experience: you've closed deals, managed pipelines, and know what it takes to hit targets. At least 3+ years in a sales role, ideally in education and/or SaaS.
    • Understanding of higher education and ideally international education markets. Fluent in English.
    • Results-driven: you take ownership and are energized by turning leads into customers. Strong presentation and relationship-building skills.
    • Comfortable working autonomously and across borders and time zones.
    • Genuine passion for education and a belief that AI can meaningfully improve it.
    • Experience with AI tools in your own work is important.

All in all, we're searching for someone who communicates clearly, but doesn't need daily instructions or a team lead. We'd rather have you try something new on your own initiative and fail, than not try it at all.
