- Yes. Examplary is built to be compliant with both the GDPR and EU AI Act. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and is never used to train third-party models. In addition, all AI model requests are processed anonymously, without any personal data.
- No, definitely not! Examplary is designed as an assistant to lower the workload and improve education. The wellbeing, intentions and approval of the teacher are central to all functionalities of Examplary.
- We use a mix of leading large language models, selected per task to balance accuracy, latency and cost. All AI features are grounded in your own source materials to minimise hallucinations.
- Yes. New features roll out continuously to all customers on supported plans, at no additional cost. Take a look at our changelog.
- Indeed you can, just upload them. This works with QTI-exports from other platforms as well as scans, PDFs or docx files.
- Absolutely. You can print your tests and scan the paper exams your students made. Examplary digitises and grade them, or you can just let students take the test digitally — whatever works best for your classroom.
- All generated questions and scoring criteria are grounded in your own learning materials. This is a deliberate design choice: by working from what you uploaded, hallucinations are virtually eliminated.
Firstly: Examplary is not a chatbot. It's purpose-built AI tooling for the full assessment cycle: adaptive practice, creating tests and grading. Everything is grounded in your own curriculum and there's a human-in-the-loop at every step. And of course it's GDPR and AI Act compliant.
Major AI chatbots do not support any of this, and trying to use them with these goals in mind includes risks regarding quality, fairness and privacy.
Yes. Examplary uses your materials as a reference to generate original questions, scoring criteria, and feedback — it doesn't copy or republish them. This works the same way you'd read a textbook and write your own test based on it.
Importantly, your materials are never used to train AI models, and your uploads are not shared with students or third parties.
