Introduction

The introduction block is the first thing students see when they open a test. It isn't a question — it's a text page for everything students should read before they begin: instructions, allowed materials, time expectations, and a word of encouragement.

When to use it

• Explaining the rules of the test: allowed aids, calculator policy, time limit.

• Setting expectations: number of questions, how answers are saved, how to navigate.

• A short welcome to put students at ease before they start.

How it works for students

The introduction is always shown at the start of the test (its position is enforced), with the title "Introduction". Students read it and continue to the first question; there is nothing to answer.
