For platforms and publishers: AI assessment in your product

AI question generation, grading and practice, built into your own platform. With Embed Sessions, custom question types or the REST API, often in a few lines of code.

Three ways to integrate Examplary

From a piece of Examplary inside your interface to a full integration through the API. Start small, and build on it once it works.

  1. Embed Sessions

A piece of Examplary inside your own interface

With Embed Sessions you put part of Examplary straight into your product: generating a test or a question, grading, or a practice space for students. You create a session with one API request and show its link in an iframe, in your own colors.

    • Seven flows, for teachers and for students
    • Your own colors, language and labels
    • Access on request, per organization
    Read the Embed Sessions docs
  2. Custom question types

Question types that fit your tests exactly

Build your own question type in HTML and JavaScript, like a timeline, a simulation or an exercise from your own curriculum. It works in Examplary like the built-in types, and can generate and grade questions with AI too.

    • Built with HTML and JavaScript
    • Test locally and publish with the CLI
    • Optional AI generation and AI grading
    Read the question type docs
  3. REST API

Generation and grading, fully inside your product

With the REST API you build Examplary's AI generation and grading fully into your own product. Tests go in and out as QTI, and webhooks tell you as soon as something is ready.

    • QTI 2.1 and 3.0, import and export
    • Sign in with Examplary through OAuth 2.0
    • Webhooks and a TypeScript SDK

Built into Cirrus Assessment

Cirrus customers build a draft exam with Examplary without leaving Cirrus.

Cirrus Assessment

“There are plenty of AI tools that will generate questions. We chose Examplary because it's built for education and assessment, and because it works from your own syllabus and source materials.”

Questions from platforms

Can't find your question? Email us at hi@examplary.ai.

  • That depends on how you build Examplary in and how many teachers and students you serve. On a call we'll work out the numbers for your product.

  • Not for Embed Sessions. Every session acts on behalf of a user in your own workspace, and you create those users through the API. Users who do have their own Examplary account can connect their workspace through Sign in with Examplary (OAuth).

  • Yes. Per session you pass the primary color, the background color and the language, and you can replace the text of buttons and labels with your own.

  • Yes. Through the API you import and export tests as QTI 2.1 or 3.0. Custom question types export as a QTI 3.0 Portable Custom Interaction by default, or as a standard QTI interaction when the type maps onto one.

  • We turn on Embed Sessions per organization. Email us or book a call, and we'll look at your plans together. The REST API and custom question types work right away with a free account.

  • Data is stored encrypted in Frankfurt, AI processing stays in the EU by default, and nothing is used to train models. Your organization signs a data processing agreement with us.

  • Examplary is classified as a high-risk system and keeps people in charge: the AI makes suggestions with reasoning, and a teacher or assessor decides. The documentation is public.
